Dad's cocaine work stash - Shields Gazette

Dad's cocaine work stash - Shields Gazette: "Brian John Liddle, of Victoria Road East, Hebburn, pleaded guilty at South Tyneside Magistrates' Court to possessing Class A and B drugs.
Police arrested the 36-year-old after searching his house on October 1 and finding the cocaine and some cannabis.

Prosecutor Michael Rose said: 'Police executed a search warrant and found four grams of cannabis and 13 grams of cocaine, with a supposed £650 street value. He said it was for his personal use, and he buys in bulk when he works away because it's easier and cheaper.'

Liddle's solicitor David Forrester said: 'He was working away as a ceiling fitter and could afford to maintain a habit.

'This was the final straw, and he isn't using any drugs any more.
'He now lives with his mum, and the last thing he wants to do is get his mum's house searched."
